GOTR Hosts Inaugural “Fuel Her Future” Panel Event

Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin (GOTR-SEWI) proudly hosted its inaugural Fuel Her Future event at Direct Supply, welcoming more than 100 community members, business leaders, educators, and advocates for an inspiring panel discussion focused on empowering girls across Southeastern Wisconsin.

The Fuel Her Future event featured a dynamic panel of experts who explored the challenges girls face today — and, more importantly, highlighted how families, schools, businesses, and communities can play a role in supporting a generation of strong, healthy, and confident girls.

🎤 Expert Panelists Included:

  • Allison Riley, Chief Program Officer, Girls on the Run International

  • Bridget Clementi, Vice President of Community Health, Children’s Wisconsin

  • Tahir Abdelmawla, Principal, Wauwatosa School District & Girls on the Run Parent

  • Kate Meyer, Owner, BizTimes Media (Moderator)

“Fuel Her Future is about shining a light on the real challenges girls face while also inspiring action,” said [Executive Director’s Name], Executive Director of Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin. “When we bring together leaders from education, health, business, and families, we create meaningful momentum that helps girls recognize their limitless potential.”

Attendees learned how Girls on the Run’s evidence-based program combines physical activity with social-emotional learning to build confidence, resilience, and connection during critical developmental years. Each year, Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin serves thousands of girls across the region through the support of volunteer coaches, community partners, and generous donors.

Girls on the Run Southeastern Wisconsin extends special thanks to Direct Supply, the event’s generous corporate partner and host, and to Miss Molly’s Café for providing lunch for attendees. The organization is also deeply grateful to the panelists for sharing their expertise, insight, and passion for supporting girls.

Funds and awareness generated through the Fuel Her Future event will directly support program scholarships, curriculum materials, healthy snacks, running shoes, and other essential resources — ensuring that every girl, regardless of financial circumstances, can participate.

Together, the community continues to Fuel Her Future — empowering every girl to know and believe in her limitless potential.
